AI Policy
EJNPH permits the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted tools in manuscript preparation, provided that authors remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical standards of their work.
AI tools must not be listed as authors or credited with authorship.
Authors should disclose the use of AI or AI-assisted tools when such use has materially contributed to the preparation, analysis, or content of the manuscript. The disclosure should identify the tool and describe how it was used.
Authors remain responsible for verifying AI-generated content, citations, data, and factual statements and for ensuring that confidential, personal, or sensitive information is not improperly entered into AI systems.
Editors and reviewers must maintain confidentiality and should not upload unpublished manuscripts or confidential peer-review material into AI systems or other third-party tools that may compromise confidentiality.
EJNPH may request clarification regarding the use of AI where necessary to protect research integrity and responsible scholarly communication.
